From Thursday, 21 May 2026 to Saturday, 23 May 2026, the 35th Conference of Computational Linguistics Students (“Tagung der Computerlinguistik-Studierenden“ in German, or “TaCoS” for short), will take place here in Heidelberg.

The TaCoS is a conference organised entirely by volunteer students on the topics of computational linguistics, language technology, computational humanities, artificial intelligence and natural language processing. Students present their work in the form of talks and workshops. Whether the work is a thesis, a seminar project, current research or a pet project, TaCoS has a place for almost anything that is interesting.

If you want to look beyond your studies in Heidelberg, present your own work or simply get to know around 50–100 nice Colis from all over Germany, TaCoS is an excellent opportunity to do so. Especially if you have never been to a conference before, TaCoS could be a good place to start (after all, it’s right on your doorstep).
